Well I’ve done it again! I found another website that has entertained me for hours and it will definitely be entertaining me for countless hours in the future. Balldroppings.com. OK don’t take the name the wrong way cause it definitely sounds gross and weird but the name is EXACTLY what the website is! I Stumbled across this site and at first glance i was like “what the hell is this supposed to do?” A black screen with a small white ball dropping out of a very small circle. No noise, no sort of instructions (at first glance), nothing. After fiddling around for a second i realized that if you click and drag anywhere on the screen you create a line… WELL WHAT DO YA KNOW! put a line under a ball dropping and WALAH you have both interaction and sound! I would like to add here that what I thought was an advertisement at the bottom of the screen was actually instructions on how the site works ahhaa! ANYWAAAAYS!
The fun part about this site is that by placing different lines in different places you can create different tones for the ball to his and also use these lines to bounce the ball continuously around the screen creating patters… Yes it sucked my life away for a few hours already :) You can also adjust the amount of gravity the screen has (balls drop faster/slower) and you can change the amount of balls that are dropping as well. Trust me this is quite a bit of fun…. hmmmm maybe I’ll sample it and create a beat using my pattern… a project for later :)
