Ok ok so I know its been a while since my last post… don’t hold it against me I’ve been quite the busy bee for the last week. I’ve got quite a bit to catch up on so here goes….
Tour has been great so far! We started in California doing a few headlining shows warming up for the Pennywise tour. The Headlining shows were great! I particularly liked the show we did in Hermosa Beach. We played a place called St. Rocke. I guess this place once was a major punk dive bar but new owners moved in or something and remodeled the place. Its beautiful! We had dinner at the venue and let me tell you it was fantastic! That night I got to hang out with a super old and dear friend Mandy and her boy Mark. We had a blast hanging out at the bar and it was super good to see the 2 of them again.
The next day we headed down to south Sandiego for a show with Hot Water Music, The Vandals, and Unwritten Law. We played an out door venue at a casino and the show went off! i think total attendance was 1600 people and it was a great crowd. I got to talk to the guys from Hot Water Music for a while and they are some really great people! We hung out for the night, watched all the bands play and then headed to our hotel.
So the next few shows went by and they were all good, nothing to freak out over though. Day 1 of PW tour started in Utah. We rolled up to the venue which looked like a sultans castle and the place was HUGE! Although the venue was surrounded by absolutely nothing i managed to get a pretty cool shot of the sunset over the salt lake…..
That night we knocked out our 30 minute set and just killed it! We are super stoked to be out with these guys and have the chance to get our crowd to the next level.
Last night was Denver (soon to be my home city). Last night was unbelievable! We played at the Filmore Theater, the last time we played this place we had an incident we came to know as “The Denver Massacre”, for those of you who know, you know what I’m talking about. for those of you who don’t, don’t worry we didn’t murder anyone hahah…. ask me sometime in person and I’ll clue you in. The show was solid last night. We played 40 minutes and played a new set list that D.J wrote. I must say D.J. really knows how to write a set! It was perfect! After the show we hung out with some friends from the area and had a good time. Bill, D.j., and I ended up at the Denver Diner for a late night snack before hitting the hotel, and then we crashed out. All in all the run so far has been fantastic! Thanks for reading and if you want to see more photos you can check out my gallery online. Click here or use the PW Tour link at the top of the page.
Cheers!
